The tin glazed earthenware plate commemorating the world voyage of Royal Dutch Navy submarine K XVIII, 1934-1935, decorated in shades of blue with in the centre  the submarine Her Majesty K 18   on open sea above the text: 

WERELDREIS Hr. Ms. K XVIII   14 Nov.1934 – 11 Juli 1935  (World journey.)

The rim with some floral swags and  the text:

HET OUDE ZEEMANSBLOED STROOMT DOOR HOLLANDS AAD’REN - EN JEUGD’GE ZEEMANSMOED  -  VOEGT NIEUWEN LUISTER BIJ DEN ROEM DER VAAD’REN (The old seamansblood streams throufh the Dutch veins and young seamans bravery  ads new grandeur at the glory of the fathers.)
