Two Antique Dutch Blue and White Delft Tobacco Jars with Brass Covers. Marteniek & Pompedoer. SOLD


The ovoid body decorated in shades of blue with two smoking Chief Indians with a covered vase and tobacco rolls, with between them a cartouche inscribed with MARTENIEK or POMPEDOER. Both marked on the bottom in underglaze blue with:
M : Q   V or VI  
The later  brass domed covers with a finial.
